WHAT WAS MEASURED
Google AI Overviews for 45 selected UK business AI and automation queries,
United Kingdom location, desktop, in one collection on 29 May 2026.
This is a convenience sample, not a representative survey of UK searches.
It is not a measurement of ChatGPT, AI Mode or current search results.

The archived collection contains 36 queries with an AI Overview and 298
reference records. YouTube accounts for 46 records and Reddit for 15.
These are citation occurrences, not unique pages, people, clicks or leads.
Repeated sources across queries remain in the data. query_id joins the files.
No URL titles or third-party article text are included in these exports.

HOW TO REPRODUCE THE COUNTS
Count the 45 data rows in the queries file; count 36 rows where
ai_overview_present is true; sum citation_records to obtain 298.
Count the 298 data rows in the citations file. Group cited_domain without
changing its spelling: www.youtube.com has 46; www.reddit.com has 15.
For the article table, lowercase each cited_domain field value and remove one
leading www. This produces 186 distinct normalised cited-domain values. The
table lists exact occurrence counts for its displayed values; it does not
classify source types or source quality.
Use a CSV reader: quoted fields may contain commas.

LIMITATIONS
The retained collection contains extracted references rather than full
provider responses or answer text. It cannot independently reconstruct
the original rendered answers, prove placement, or audit provider status
codes. Absence here means absence in the retained record, not universal
absence. The original collector did not retain those status codes; a false
AI Overview value cannot now rule out an upstream collection problem.
The timestamp in the archived source has no timezone; none is inferred.
Queries were selected around business AI and automation, not every SEO,
AEO or GEO service. Do not infer wider market shares or causal effects.
The article's cited-domain frequency table is a recount of these records.
The CSV preserves the domain values as returned by the provider.
URLs are historical observations, not endorsements or guaranteed live links.
